I have done this. Long ago with the original 46 design for PA. Which is currently on hiatus pending further development. I compared it to 2 different very well designed horn loaded cabs, approximately the same physical size, a 10 and a 12.
That's still not a 4x6 in different enclosure types
The horn loaded cabs were louder with less power. But at a certain point the MVW cab caught up and passed them by in total output.
To me this is not clear, when did the MVW catch up? with more power?
The point I want to make is that when you compare different cab types with the same driver you can (at least) see if the load on the driver changes dramatically with the MVW cab. You should see e.g. that the excursion drops in the working range compared to the other enclosures. If so, this could explain a few things.
