Biggest Bass String EVER

I found this video I thought some of you would get a kick out of!

Since 8 string guitars have become popular, bassists have had to decide whether to stay at the same octave as the guitar or go an octave down from the guitar. Obviously to match a guitar at Drop E (Octave Down) you will need some pretty hefty strings. I've heard .230+ strings exist, but this is the biggest I have ever seen myself. I literally said "Oh my God" out loud when I saw it.

Sounds like a fart with a little bit of tone mixed in...

It's a weird video. I have that bass and my B string isn't anywhere near as thick as that. Not a good demo video either, imo.

I remember a video on YouTube years ago where a guy was playing some sort of 10-12 string monstrosity. Well, I'm not even sure I would call it playing since the top 3-4 strings were so low pitched as to be irrelevant but I'm sure they were over .200. If you feel the need to put a scrunchy over your neck at the first fret like some sort of fabric capo, you might want to rethink what's going on .
