Biking '10 part 2

Did the TT last night. They said my average was 23.5mph, but I forgot to hit stop for a few minutes. They said I got second to a fellow team mate, but he wasn't so sure about it. Not being an official race, we didn't really care too much.

Regardless, I felt a lot better than I have for most of the year. Given that most of my results for this year was without much riding, 2011 is looking promising.

I remember that feeling; spend all season building up to REALLY feeling good in the saddle just as the season ends, and then spend most of the winter on a mtn bike and lose half of it. Naturally, after I quit racing, 'cross becomes popular enough here to put together regular races.

Normally at this time of year, I'm about done and need to take time off. At the moment, I'm doing some intervals and longer rides here n' there, but not a whole lot of intensity. I'm planning to start my training in November, starting with aerobase and starting my intervals in Feb.

Is it me or the 'eating bad meat -> steroid' sounds a lot like 'drinking whiskey -> high testosterone'?
At this point, it almost seems as if the dope-cops are testing to see what they may find in someone's sample and then adding the results to the list so they can justify their existence...how many tests did Contador pass in the TdF's daily testing abd/but now they find something? I'm almost suggesting that it may be time to call Shenanigans...

I don't know. I get tired of hearing all the doping stuff just like everyone else. But someone (I think it was Christian Prudhomme) said something that made a lot of sense a couple years back. He said something to the extent of "you hear about so many people getting busted in cycling because we are actually working towards eliminating doping. We are catching the dopers. That's not something most other professional sports can say."
