Bill Wyman Back with the Stones ?!?!?

Plugged in for the updates. I saw them on the Steel Wheels tour. Funny how I felt they were old then, and was wishing I had gotten to see them when they were happening. :) The stones have to be the most inspirational r&r band of all time. It's astounding that they're all still alive, let alone still rocking out and doing tours.

^That's a stinking pile of dog poop. I think when he was with the Allmans during their popularity peak, he was a full member, and was like 21 at the time.

At their 70's peak and selling out stadiums, Chuck Level and Lamar Williams were on a salary of a thousand bucks a week, Lamar died pennyless.

Leavell doesn't get a bigger cut? That's a pretty raw deal for being musical director for 25+ years.
Welcome to the music business. I don't know the split with the 4 actual members of the Stones, but it is exceedingly rare that a replacement member or a non-member gets anywhere near what the main guy(s) make in any band. Chuck Leavell has never been a member of the Stones, and no doubt makes way less than the main guys. Might pay pretty well, but it doesn't hold a candle to what Mick and Keith make.

As for Wyman, who knows? He did lose his standing by quitting. I know when KISS reunited with the original members, Ace and Peter were on salary because they lost their standing. But I imagine he will get considerably more than Chuck Leavell or Daryl Jones.

That's how it goes...you can either take what they offer or turn it down. It's their gig.
