@Orange Caesar , do you have my old rat rod? The one with the paw prints? I loved that bass, I have no idea why I ever sold it.
I am so tempted to ask him about a double pickup version of the PB-one, I think it would be awesome. But seeing as this managed to sneak it's way home over the weekend, I am tapped out for now....

Haha, do you really have it yet or are you teasing us? There are no strings on that bass suggesting it's Scott's photo and not yours. Mine isn't shipping until Monday.![]()
Yup!! Got the Rat Rod! That's my daughter's "baby"...@Orange Caesar , do you have my old rat rod? The one with the paw prints? I loved that bass, I have no idea why I ever sold it.

Another previous owner wanted to re acquire her... but my daughter said "nope!!" That bass is killer!! With TI flats... super low action... killer tone... and just gorgeous!!
Sadly, #87 cannot be assigned to me because @Orange Caesar is now the owner of the very nice eaglet prototype. But I do now play a 23" scale marleaux Consat sopran (in standard rather than piccolo tuning) that once belonged to said orange man (who officially has the coolest tb name because his given name is Julius), so as sad as I was to see the birdsong go, my arthritic hands can still gig.
Just placed my order for PB-One 003! Would love to hear more thoughts from the owner of numero uno.
Nope. I like the basic model, just don't know if I'm going to go with black or chrome hardware.Nice! Did you customize it at all?

I only had a chance to plug it in for 10 minutes before I had to run out the door this morning. Keep in mind my obsession with vintage Gibson EB 0/1/3 basses was STRONG before I found Birdsong, so this is right up my alley. What I told Scott:
"Tell you something....as someone that was OBSESSED with Jack Bruce, Felix Pappalardi, Andy Fraser, etc....you NAILED IT"
"I've probably held and/or played a hundred vintage EB style basses in my life...and picking that thing up it's amazing how you've captured it"
"even the finish is fricking amazing...it really looks like old mahogany, like all the lacquer has checked off over the years leaving that "worn smooth" kind of look I've seen on well loved Gibsons so many times"
Nice! I have a CBass that is shipping in a few weeks, and the PB-One seemed like the perfect compliment in both looks and tone. The CBass is cypress with a maple neck and board, black hardware kind of like the vintage blonde P-basses so I think the PB-One will end up with chrome hardware.
I love the classic Cream bass tone so this should be well received!
Thanks!Nice, mine was probably in the box right next to it when they left the shop!
I like yours better...that grain is awesome.
CB363 is on its way to New Hampshire! Full impressions when it arrives at the end of the week.View attachment 1179956 View attachment 1179957
