Bitten by the Bassbug

Hello all,

I'm new to the forums, although I've been looking on here for some time as a visitor.

I've been on and off trying to get into playing an instrument. I had an acoustic guitar, and electric and then I got my dream bass. I sold all of them off when cash was needed and I wasn't playing them anyway.

I decided to give it another go and got an Ibanez starter pack. I got it back in October, but due to working long hours and having a younger brother in law who goes to sleep quite early I haven't been playing. I decided recently to stop making excuses, and I've played 3 days in the last 5 and absolutely have been bitten by the bug. I'm loving it! Why I never bothered properly before, I don't know.

I'll be seeing you all around - mostly for advice I suspect.

VOX is very popular but I have this one and it works great for practicing.

Yep one of the Vox headphone amps could come in handy. Last I checked $50 US +/- then some headphones. Great thing about a Vox you can play out side at your favorite shade tree, fishing pier, whatever. Battery operated.

I've just added one of those Vox amps to my Amazon Basket - looks like it could be extremely handy!

Sweet. I think I'll try VOX next. I like the Nady because it's rechargeable.

Two things.

1. They're plastic and break easily. An extension cable might be helpful.
B. Don't spend a bunch of money on Active Noise Canceling Headphones. They don't seem to work with these when they're "active" :shrug:

I tried looking for the Nady one, but can't find too many good options for UK delivery.

Still, great shout. I'll be giving it a spin. Good to know it can be used on the go too - don't need to plug in my practice amp or anything.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned VOX. It's a much bigger company. I use mine everyday

Welcome to the forum. I've been helped quite a bit since joining at the beginning of this year and I still consider myself new around here. Lots of good advice in the forum but some I'd take with a grain of salt and a smile. You know what you came here for, so have fun and get what you need.
