Blues Bass Club

The IBC is a thing we just don’t do, it’s different for us being local and playing Beale 2 and 3 times a week year round. Got a call from guitar player just last night seems he was called by the local IBC club organizer to please sign up for the competition he said “what’s the point” we’re playing as much as we want. I know it’s different if you’re not from here.

No membership requirements really I wouldn't think - Just Bassists who are playing the blues (or heavily inspired and love the blues). I don't really want the Blues Bass Club to turn into a "Classic Rock" club; and to be honest I don't know exactly where the difference is but let's get chatting about the Blues :cool:

Around here, it used to be big enough where they had to do the competition over multiple days, locations, etc. Last few years bands participating and crowds have been dwindling. :(

Ok…since the club is rolling, I’ll ask my first blues related question: I really dislike most blues songs with a shuffle beat. I really DO NOT like the shuffle. Am I alone in feeling that way?
