Bohemian Rhapsody-- yes or no?

As a musician's forum, how does everyone feel about the new Freddy Mercury movie? I haven't heard much about it, never read reviews, or plan to see it as I have a ton of Queen material left to me by my brother. They were never one of my favorite bands but I see the value in their contribution, and there are still fans to this day.

What say ye, TB'ers? Yay or nay?

I'll see it because I see everything but Freddy Mercury didn't lead a pg13 life so to make a pg13 movie about him seems wrong. And it should've been Sasha Baron Cohen. I'm not expecting much.

Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, James Brown, and Jerry Lee Lewis didn't lead "PG-13 lives" and yet Ray, Walk the Line, Get on Up, and Great Balls of Fire are all PG-13 movies.

I have zero interest in seeing Rami Malek's wiener.

It's not about seeing wieners. It's about the tone of the movie. Those other movies were good. I'm ready to have my expectations subverted.

I'm not much of a movie theater guy, and I never really cared for the band Queen.

Lots of movies I'm missing out on. Oh, well. I don't watch TV, either. My discretionary blow of time is spent on TB and the occasional bout of sportsball spectating.

One issue for me is the financial investment to find out. If the movies had a money back guarantee, I may be more inclined to give it a try.
As it stands, I have to cough up $30-40 for a couple tickets and snacks and hope what I'm about to watch is to my liking. If it's not, too bad.
Don't even get me started on sitting in a dark room with a bunch of strangers in seats who knows what was going on in them before I got there, with floors my feet will stick to if I leave them still too long, while the people around me are eating popcorn like it's the first meal they've had in three weeks. When they aren't stuffing their face with popcorn, they're burping, talking, whispering annoyingly loud, or playing on their phones.
So yeah, spending my free time surfing TBOT and eating Cheez-Its is more appealing in my world.

AMC stubs a list. $20 a month for three movies a week. I don't buy food from them. I refuse. It's ridiculous. Exponential markups on popcorn and a five dollar thing of sour patch kids? No. I'll agree other people in theaters are savages.

Sporting events, it's no problem to avoid it.

Joke aside, I’m carefully optimistic about it. Then again, I’m always weary of biopics of my artistic idols. Haven’t seen Get On Up yet actually.
