Exactly the reason why I haven't bought an unlined fretless Stealth 5-string Bongo with ebony fingerboard. Such instrument is uber cool to me, but I'm a big fan of the piezo bridge (and it's not available for that configuration).

Oh I wish bongos came with a maple fingerboard too, that would be utterly badass. Oh or sunburst (I know they can't because of the choice of bodywood) because of the painted neck it would have a sunburst neck like Rics do.

Oh I wish bongos came with a maple fingerboard too, that would be utterly badass.

Mr. Sterling Ball said (at the EBMM forum) that they tried it at the factory and the result was really ugly. Although I'm not a fan of maple fingerboards, I wish I could have seen that experiment.
