seems I might be part of this club, as I have a boogie of my own C:
From the small amount of research I've done, it seems the gold cursive-esque lettering on the headstock is found on boogies from the 80s, during the period that they used necks from other manufacturers(.?), but still not sure of the exact year. From what I remember, the neck pocket just says 'Boogie', and the pickup route (pictured below) has '443' stamped in it, underneath the finish
It has a very beautiful and comfortable to hold neck, that is solid rosewood, with a rosewood fingerboard (2 separate pieces). Which I have yet to see another boogie with so far. It's quite a thin neck, with a consistent 'C' ish profile, though, the neck needs to be cleaned thoroughly
The body is a 2 piece ash body, very very very heavy. Makes it not fun to carry it around, but it is sure comfortable to play sitting down at least
It's a P shape (obv), with a very thick trans red-ish finish, that dances and shifts in the light very nicely
The thing has its fair share of dents, scratches, and finish checking, which can be expected considering how old it likely is
(though I think the finish checking stems from humidity issues rather than age)
Everything here is exactly how it was when I got it from my dad a couple years back, besides swapping out strings from flats (unknown brand), to D'addario Halfs
Would be more than happy to provide more pictures with parts off, or even the neck off, or maybe some more background on this bass, or to answer questions
