Boots: What are you wearing?

They are a tough looking boot. I think I'm leaning towards a lace up. Still so many good suggestions. Certainly has opened up what I was considering, as much as I love Doc Martins.

Wesco lineman's boots goes back to my days as a phone tech plus great support. I also like engineer's boots but alas I can't get my foot into them anymore because I can't bend my left ankle.

When I bought my first pair of Redwings, it was down to those and Royers. I had heard more about the Redwings, so those are what I got. Haven't looked back, but Royers are nice as well. Too many people wear cheap work boots and I don't understand it. I don't want sore feet at the end of a long day.

Yeah, I wonder if I could find something close to my Royers (10-5002 Link Removed) as far as winter boots are concerned. The only change being: a little more insulation and no steel toe..and maybe the color, but that's a detail. Those boots are just so comfortable.

Timberlands... I've got a pair in the original wheat nubuck and a pair in black. Waterproof and very comfortable.

I've had a pair of Magnum boots for about 4 years now. Really comfortable and light and probably the first boots that I'll wear out the uppers before the soles. I has a set of Cat boots that split right across the sole after 18 months.

Cat boots suck, for the same price you can get Redwings, or Royers and you will never have to worry about them falling apart.

Nothing beats a simple pair of waffle stompers....which used to be a generic term for any boot with a Vibram pattern sole.

Here's a great buy on a Dunham boot (made by New Balance):

Dunhams come in a lot of widths up to 4E, which is really handy. The only boots I can get to fit well are Dunhams.
