Boots: What are you wearing?

I've been wearing a pair of Timberland's imports for a few years, looking for a sub $200, non-Chinese, quality hiking / mountaneering boot to replace them. I kept looking for my favorite boots from my youth and cannot find anyone that makes them new (lots of close ones, but none EXACT).

Some of you 40+ year olds may remember these... I found this pair on eBay a couple weeks ago and picked them up as a b'day present to myself.

Colorado brand, made in Italy and HEAVY compared to the hiking & work boots I've worn for the last couple decades. I've since swapped out the laces with some orange paracord.

These

My shoe truck starting carrying these, in composite toe. Turns out they're by far THE most comfortable pair I own. I as a rule hate steel/composite caps. I actually pick these to wear OUTSIDE of work. That's gotta say something. I've had Docs, Bundstones, Cat and a few others. The very su-prizing thing is you can run, up on the balls of your feet and not notice you've got safeties on......

:D
