This might be of some help.

Hmmm just a mild annoyance so not the end of the world but I have a really hot active and a passive pretty low output bass I'm switching between to make sure I'm getting the best tone possible out of the AIRD preamps.

I'm pretty sure the input instrument level is globally set so not sure that a patch would help. Just thought it'd be nice to be able to use a knob to switch between my instrument levels rather than MENU > IN/OUT > INPUT each time etc. It'd be a real pain at a gig.

Ahhhh so you can set an instrument per patch, really annoying that you can assign a knob to turn bass mode on/off but not select an input preset. Perhaps just an oversight, might see if it's possible to raise as a feature request.

Unless its this? although seems odd that you'd have a L and R?

You can set up independent input levels for, I believe, up to 10 guitars.

Different input settings for left and right would make sense, with the proper configuration you could connect and use two different instruments simultanious. Really strange you can make only 1 (L+R) input-setting in the IN/OUT menu but you can set them seperately for L / R using an assigned knob.

* If I assign a knob to 'input R' and select another input-preset this is carried-over-to/visible in the 'master-effect-block'.

* If I assign a knob to 'input L' and make a change nothing changes in the 'master-effect-block' !! Weird !

(Btw. using the word 'assign' here could be confusing because you do not assign a knob to a parameter in the assign-menu, you do that in the hardware-setting-menu)

Edit: Also, in the assign-menu you CAN NOT assign a footswitch to the input-preset-selector.. Unfortunately, because that would make much sense.

Sorry yeah assign is the wrong term! Well I can definitely set up a patch per instrument which is fine and can use stompboxes to keep both patches completely in-sync aside from the input preset.

I have no idea what the Input L and Input R do without a play as there is no mention of a L/R input withing the IN/OUT settings. Might have a play though later.

The easiest way is 2 separate patches. Then just write each input instrument to its assigned patch.

Not sure if this is a workaround solution. You could put a Distortion block first in the effects chain with Clean Boost loaded, turn everything off leaving just the Level for adjustment. Then assign the Level to Knob 1-5. Use the Clean Boost Level to control the Input?

Hey krfoss, the Morningstar MC3 midi controller is good option.

As far a patch sharing website for bass players, nothing. But there’s also additional info at VGuitar Forums - Index

Personally myself, I’m not a fan of patch sharing. I approach the GTCore as an instrument, so lots of trial and error, recording and playback, and using my ears. I’m happy to share any tips and tricks, I’m still learning the thing myself though. I’m continuing to post sound samples as I discover more stuff also.

Hope the GT 1000Core serves you well!

Hi everyone. What is everyone's favorite midi stomp extender controller (or whatever it's called... I'm new here). Also, any recommendations for patch download sites? Thanks! Now I'll get to reading this whole thread.

I have the CORE, an FS-6 and an FS-7. That’s my board. With all the options you have available for a single button push, I don’t see needing a midi controller at all.
