Yeah, If it wasn’t for the fact my head has a really tube od channel in 4cm and I had a separate preamp to throw some dirt on I think I’d be struggling even more for blocks. Dunno how people cope on HX Stomps which are way more limited on dsp power.

That being said I’m super happy with my current general purpose patch, goes all the way from clean warm tones to absolute filth.
I have everything thing on there saved via stompbox so I can easily copy it and swap out effects/foot switch layout etc but everything else will be perfectly synced across patches. No more going through and having to manually update preamp settings every time I get fiddly.
Will have to get it on Tone exchange, obviously it’ll be missing my GK Fusion head and ME 800 pedal in the fx loops but it might be useful for someone.

Is there something like a patch exchange site for the GT1000 Core? Like the source audio Neuro app has for example?
What I would like to see in the future is fully customisable block selection. So you buy a multi fx unit with a core number of blocks (10?) at a reduced price, then you have the option to buy, download and install additional blocks up to the limit of 24 or the DSP limit.

Been learning about bass and drum ducking using side-chain compression in the DAW, and realised this can be done in the Core using the Divider? But not automatically. You can set up the Divider to trigger CH A or CH B depending how hard (or soft) you play. So when you play a loud note, it’ll trigger CH B, and a quiet note CH A. Then CH B, you be can set it up to duck under the kick drum when a kick and bass note are played at the same time. Or another side-chain example, triggering CH B to a synth pedal activated via Send/Return on a specific note(s). In the DAW compressor, bass and kick ducking using side-chain is triggered by the kick drum sound.

I use a couple of CME Widi products, and the first thing you nee to do is install the Widi firmware app (android or iOS) and upgrade the firmware o the latest.
And make sure the midi adapter leads are the correct ones for Boss devices (50/50 chance of it being right).
I’ve got the WIDI Jack updated with latest firmware, plugged in with the 3.5 to 2.5 trs cables that were bundled. Also got the Midimittr app installed. I’m using the Type A midi option which is apparently right.
Everything looks good but when I try to connect the GT pocket app it says Wrong Device and prompts to re-pair. Didn’t spend long with it though so will try unpairing and re configuring.

Gotta say I love being able to pop up tone studio on my phone or iPad so I’m not switching between it and logic when I’m trying to record etc.
It’s not the cleanest setup but the WIDI Jack hides away nicely underneath, I’ve got all the cables to do custom runs once I’m happy too.

What's that 'fire alarm' footswitch on the right ? And, why do you have a external tuner, if I may ask (no critic, just curious) ?
Haha that’s the footswitch that came with the GK head, I was using the GT to switch amp channels for a while but it’s quite hand having it separately controlled.
The separate tuner is mostly because I hate having to press both switches in a live situation. Too much faff. If I had more switches and I could have a single one dedicated to tuning I’d probably get rid.
For a while I didn't have enough footswitches available on the Core to have a seperate one for the tuner, so I used this 'double footswitch' function to acces the tuner. At a gig the tuner didn't disengage and I missed the beginning of a song (facepalm...) so that made me looking for an external footswitch to engage the Core tuner.
These switches are not cheap and they need space on the board even if they are small...then I realized I could just as well use an external tuner I already had. So, you did exactly the same I did haha!

The dream would be an expression pedal with a toe switch to toggle between effects and volume. When in volume mode and the pedals fully down it engages the onboard GT tuner. I have no idea which pedal I’d need to make that a reality though
