Having played with it for about a week, I have to say that overall I’m pretty happy with the unit outside of a couple gripes and a few issues that I can’t figure out.
First off, who the hell uses 5 delays? Locking those blocks to delay instead of fx seems like a huge waste.
Secondly, does anyone not have to bump their input settings up 16db on all of their basses to hit that line?
Thirdly, why does the backup export take 10 minutes? Am I doing something wrong?

Question. I split my signal early on to highs and lows, then rejoin them for effects, then split them again at the end to run to different amp sims. I would love to have a mono signal out before the amp sim split to send to my amp on stage while the mains go out to FOH as separate highs and lows. No matter what settings I use, it only sends the lows out on the send. Is this doable?

any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

You can use your 3rd split (if I correctly understood your signal chain) to send the main out to your amp and then use the SUB out to send to FOH. You can configure either send as the SUB out on the settings menu. Keep in mind that you have also to configure the out that goes to the amp to bypass the cabsim.

I have my 1000core paired with a Matthew’s futurist. Tonight I discovered i can double layer the futurist stomps to access a drive with single stomp and tuner with long press. Next I’ll be doing drive with long press boost.

I also find that I have a need to recreate my analog boxes in the core instead of accepting the cores sounds with minor tweaks as if they are their own pedals. This is silly as when an analog box is off the board long enough with a core replacement sound my ear just gets used to the new sound as standard.

It is good to try to recreate existing pedal. But on any Multi effect box it is hard or even impossible to nail another pedal 100%. So in the end it’s better to accept the sound of the unit, its limitations but also its added possibilities. You have to work with what you have got.

In my case I tried to get a decent envelope filter sound, but I (or the Core?) failed. With the MS-3 this was easily possible. In the end I got a Maxon AF-9 and put it in FX loop 2.

I agree. The envelope filter/auto wah sounds are lacking in the GT1000.

I’ve tried to do a good synth sound and ended up rebuying a bass micro synth. The core desperately needs a synth sound.

You can't have it all in one machine I guess. Even more expensive units like the Eventide H9 or the Axe fx don't have good bass synth algos. I wouldn't mind having a synth in the GT1000 but I think a good envelope filter is more essential. I am not sure if we will ever see an update of the GT1000 though.

The one pedal I haven’t been able to get rid of no matter what multi effects I have is the Source Audio C4. It does a near perfect octave, synth, and envelope filter. That’s been lacking in every multi unit

the Boss SY-1000 has most of the GT-1000 stuff, even a few more Amp models (and can use 4 Amps at the same time in parallel)), but does an amazing synth section,
and if you add the extra GK pickup, you can also get instrument modelling, different sounds, and tunings per string.

Yes, my passive basses sit between 16 and 20db for the input setting. So sounds about right to me.

That was my active and passive basses. I never got around to testing the guitars and I sent the unit back to Sweetwater to return it. I was just having too many things that I didn’t like about it to keep it, so I’m back to the Stomp for now

I felt quite disappointed in the unit for the first couple of weeks (perhaps the menu settings weren't that intuitive to me), but I eventually came around and really love the unit now. Keeps my pedal board nice and compact.

I’m not 100% sure, but I’m not counting on it. With the Quad Cortex and now the Fender Tonemaster Pro, I’m thinking Boss will be working on their next flagship MFX.

Having preset 1 2 and 3 under footswitch 1 2 and 3 !!! (isn't that 'basic' please haha)

It is an un-common requiest but I am always at shame to mention this if someone asks about our beloved core

Good question! Better envelope filter and maybe a bass synth and bit crusher and better ring modulator. Polyphonic pitch shifting with good tracking. And some more bass amps and cabs. Those are the main things.

Got a new RME UCX II interface. Hoping this is going to be a big improvement in sound and tone with the GTCore. Going to connect to three channels, one for the unprocessed DI, and two into the Hi Z input for the processed sound from the GTCore.
