Revival for this thread! I red the whole part 1 and 2 but i am not sure if i understood well. I just got this pedal used and I really like the sounds I am getting out of this. I was wondering though if it possible to edit the two channels independently and switch between sounds. For example from clean sound to channel A to a chorus sound to channel B.

Very much possible. You don't need to do this with a channel A/B thing, necessarily. You can, for example, program the CTRL pedals to turn the chorus on and off. You can program the CTRL pedals to do many things.

If you haven't already done so, you'll want to get a copy of the instruction manual.

I red the manual too and I have already done this with the ctl switches. The problem is with the od/ds. I use an acoustic 360 with 8x10 emulation but when I turn on any overdrive I cannot get a good sound. the overdriven sound is too low and when I turn up effect level the sound is very high. If I change cab let's say to 1x15 suddenly I get a much more audible overdrive but not good clean sound. So if I was able to create different channel sounds would be ideal but I cannot find it stated anywhere in the manual

The external expression pedal is called EXP2 in the menus.
If you want it to do always the same thing (e.g. always control the volume) you can set it into System > Control > Tab 4.

Otherwise if you want to set it specifically in a patch IIRC you must do it from Master/Pedal FX > Assigns, for example if you wanted to control the amount of drive of an overdrive:

You also need to activate the assign, by pressing the Master/Pedal FX button while you're editing it. You should see a MASTER: ON label in the bottom right corner, otherwise it won't work.

If you're going to use a lot of patches you should save an User Setting for the assign so that you don't have to set all the values each time ;) (There should be a section explaining how in the manual)

A bit late, but in case you're still looking for this answer, you can have different sounds between each channel but you can have only one instance of an effect in the whole chain, you can't have different settings of the same effect in the two channels (e.g. two Preams in the same patch). There are some effects who have "clones" inside the FX1 and FX2 effects (like Sub Delay, Sub Comp) but there isn't a "Sub Preamp".

If you need to switch a single parameter like the cab you can get crafty with assigns, having one CTL pedal switching to channel A (clean) and setting the cab to 8x10 and the other CTL pedal switching to channel B and setting the cab to 1x15.
However I think it's easier if you just create two patches (one clean and one overdriven) and switch between them while playing :). That way it will also be easier to make sure the volume is the same.

Thank you for your answer and yes I was still trying to figure it out. I did not want to make 2 different patches because it is a slight gap between sounds when changing patches.

Personally I don't notice the jump when switching patches, it's a few milliseconds, however if you want to go the single patch way you can set this assign (disregard my previous post, you can actually do all that with a single CTL pedal :p)

On pp72-77 of the manual there's a bunch of global settings you can make to have smoother change-overs with patches, banks, and even EXP pedal. I don't really like setting a system preamp since it seems so variable with some patches.

You can also trick the machine by making similar settings in Assign and Pedal EFX to toggle patches/channels. It can get a little confusing!.

One of the nice things I recently discovered in connection with my G&L bass, an SB-2, is that by using a lowish setting of Bass OD, i can dial up a good fuzz sound by pushing the bridge pickup when i want it, and going back to a nice overdrive by doing the opposite with the neck pickup. That effect really loves treble+mid to fuzz up.

have a question for you guys..

Just bought a gt100, but I think it works more or less the same way as a gt10b.
I'm looking to duplicate a sound I was using with my stomp boxes. A modulated delay. The bass sound is clean but the delays have a (strong) modulation on them. I was wondering if there is a routing way to just get the modulation on the delay and not on the dry bass…

Easy, in the Delay effect, turn down the "direct" parameter and turn up the "effect" parameter.

Thanks again mr Gumtown, I tried it that way. But then I don't get the clean bass at all. The idea is to have the clean bass. And the delay trails modulating.
I tried to do it this way:
Chanel a. Dry bass sound
Channel b. Delay, no dry bass only effect into slow and deep flanger.

And then mix 'm together. But I end up with only the modulated delays without the dry bass sound.....
