Boss GT-10B

And you can fully control the level sent to and from the gear in your SEND/RETURN. I found that sending a super hot signal into my BOSS OC-2 generated an awesome clipped square wave that I wouldn't have ever found without the GT-10B.

The SEND/RETURN on the GT-10B can be controlled exactly like any other FX block. Move it around. Use assigns to control it's available parameters. Put it in CHANNEL A while other stuff is in CHANNEL B (good for clean blends).

Exactly, you can even assign the s/r to a pedal to make it on or off by hitting it.

What you want to do is only engage the s/r for that one patch, and have it on off for your other patches. The semi tricky part, and not really too bad, is saving it at that point LOL, go into Master FX, I think, then pedal chain, move your chain and put the s/r where ever you want, turn it on, back out of there, then save. Very easy.

Thanks, that's perfect...I'm definitely buying one now!

So both my guitarist use boss gt's and want me to pick up the Gt-10b. My question is do you guys gig with this unit or is it just a home/studio toy?
They both seem to have "volume" level issues with all of their patches and seem to be forever tweaking them:rollno:

Sounds like they simply aren't very good at leveling their patch volumes. Testing through headphones and then testing in a full band mix are different animals.

Or it could be that they're simply competing with each other for volume. Which is a totally different subject all together and not at all related to any particular piece of gear. :)

Not really a volume war as we all wear in ears. We record all our practices and the lead guitarist especially has issues with his patch volumes and is forever adjusting them. Does the gt10b have the same issues?

It's not like patch volumes mysteriously change on their own. They're saved with the patch and stay that way unless changed. Assuming everything else before and after the GT stays the same, so should the audible output tone and level. Same goes for Line6 gear, or really any other pedal effects, multi or otherwise. The output form the gear doesn't mysteriously change on it's own unless someone is fiddling with stuff. So I'm not sure what 'issue' the gear has.

I don't (and have never had) problems with the volume of any patch...but I don't use the amp models of the GT-10B.
There's 2 guitarists with (GT6's) in my band, and the only problems they have had was to do with using the pre-amps of the Boss combined with the pre-amps build into their backline amps, they insist on using the amp models of the GTs to simulate overdrive plus more distortion effects from the GTs and that doesn't really go well if you have your amp also on overdrive....

...guitarists......who needs them? :D

Cool, I've had my GT-10B for a week and I'm really liking it so far. Included with it was the Tutorial DVD so understanding all the possibilities of this unit is so much easier...they are endless!

Two questions that I haven't found an answer for:

- Can the EQ button, which is parametric EQ, be changed to Graphic EQ instead? If so, how please?

- When using the Dynamic A/B Channel Modes, can the sensitivity at which the second channel kicks in be adjusted? Again, if so, how, please?
