Saw one of these in a shop today. Didn’t get to try it, but I must admit it was pretty cool looking. Any of you tried their bass amps?

Boss Katana Bass Amps?

I have the KTN210B which is the bigger/more powerful model.The pic you show is the 110 model which is 60 watts class ab.Ignore the power rating and just try/play it.You will be surprised how loud it goes.They are loaded with Boss effects and have excellent onboard compression.They are a little heavier that their class d competition.The 110 model does not have an extension speaker out but the 210 model does.Play thru one.You will be surprised.
Seems like a great value for what you get.
I don’t own one but spent a day trying out basses with the 210. Also tried a couple other amps. Kept coming back to the Katana. I thought it was fantastic. For what it’s worth, the guitarist in my gigging band uses a 100 watt Katana. He also uses a Marshall tube 40 watts. I like when he uses the Katana better because it’s just more controlled volume wise and the line out sounds amazing through the PA.

I own some Boss gear, notably a Katana 212 guitar amp and a Waza Air Bass headphone amp. Boss makes good stuff, and their amps are insanely versatile if you're willing to connect a computer to tweak all the settings. I think the interface is a little fiddly if you're just using the knobs and buttons, but that's just personal preference.
Biggest drawback to their bass amps is the weight, at least compared to similar combos from Fender and others. When I need a big amp, I'll probably splurge on the Rumble 800 just because it weighs 29 pounds compared to the 48 pounds of the Boss. If weight isn't a big concern, you can't go wrong either way.

I would to try the new Katana 500 bass head and see how that sounds
Did the 2x10 have enough of the low, low end? Wondering for use with my 5 string.
Works great for about a B for me. I play some lower notes that don’t sound quite as good
Likely! I don’t know if it’s quite powerful enough, but I did debate doing the same.
I think if your method is to go into a cab and you still want the digital effects, you could do the same with the darkglass exponent.

The Katana 210B has a speaker out.When you plug a speaker into the amp it disconnects the internal speakers.You can plug in whatever speaker/speakers you want as long as they 8 or 4 ohm.I have plugged in a 215 cab and 2 210 cabs both 4 ohm load in total.Both sounded fine.
That’s really a subjective thing. Yes, but if I were at a dance club I’d want help from PA subs.
