Boss OC5 vs T Rex Quint

Hi all, has anyone used both the Boss OC5, and the TRex Quint ? I currently have an OC5 , that I use with a clean SVT style tone. I use for middle 8 , octave up (+ original signal) with slight gain boost. IV been looking at TRex Quint for the same use , with the benefit of a 5th. More is better??
I b really interested in any comments, or experiences with Quint (+Oc5)

The Quint is really good. I use it because of the fifth playing against a guitarist and getting a nice chordal tone based on fifths. It's a different tonal quality than an octave however it does have great adjustability.

I have the oc2 and oc 3 and sold my quint.

the quint was a little more synth-like than I cared for, but it was very nice.

I'm interested in trying the POG 2

Thanks for commenting. I'm ok with my OC5 for clean tones. But, I'm sorta thinking the added 5th could be usable. I have a Earthquaker Devices Tentacle for "driven/fuzz" tones .

I have 2 Quints that I really love using. I can use it clean or in combination with any of my effects for a massive sound. The octave down has an organ like ability to sound full but still articulate. I have a long running review here.

I recently purchased an OC5 and was planning to use it for guitar but then it sounded amazing on bass...particularly in the OC2 mode. However, I've had the Quint on my board for several years now and will continue to use it because of the 5th. It just adds more color to the already great octave(s) that's unique. You can always eliminate the 5th on the Quint but can't add it on the OC5. So, for flexibility, I'm keeping the Quint on the board. But, if you don't have a need for the 5th, I think the OC5 would be my pick.

Thanks again for comments. I'm thinking I will keep the OC5. Early next year (Xmas paid for), I have to get a bigger pedal board. With badly needed "extra realistate", I will add a Quint , with my OC5 and my Tentacle.
