Boss TW-1

I recently came into possession of this little Auto-Wah/Envelope Filter Gem after a trade and must say it's a real go-getter.

It's apparently like 20 years old but still functions absolutely perfectly. It only has 2 knobs, sensitivity and peak (which affect the dynamics and range of the filter) and a filter up/down switch.

I can get everything from a light Hadrien Feraud wah setting, a Zappa-esque sound, to some grinding Bootsy tones.

Really a score.

Anyone else have experience with them?

quite nice... if I remember correctly, it's a band pass filter and has a volume drop when engaged, so I added a Boss LS-2 to help it in both regards (adding volume and bottom end if needed). I LOVED the sound, but didn't find it that suitable to be my first/only filter pedal (lack of lowpass filter mode), so I got me an Ibanez af-9... If I could get the TW-1 cheap, I'd definitely get it again, but an AF-9 is a great filter pedal and i do not regret switching...

I also loved adding OC-2 sounds before it (TW1), for some synthy slurpy sounds, some of which sounded like organ, and some of which reminded me of Squarepushers filter sounds... I manage to get similar stuff from my AF-9, but not the same... maybe I should mess with the trimpots a bit more...
