That Elmer is a hard one to find.
Pappy.....man I wish that bourbon was as good as it’s price would suggest.
I’ve had Texas and Wisconsin bourbon that smoke anything else I’ve tried. Let’s not pretend that lines on a map determine the quality of a product.
Ummm...they maintain limited production to insure it receives top dollar. Most high end stores get no more than a few bottles, and most resort to “cracking” open the bottle upon purchase to insure the buyer can’t resell for a significantly higher price.
But if you’ve found a store that has defeated all those market pressures to maintain a reasonable price, then please PM me their name.....

All I know is - on April 15th I was snow blowing 18” of snow from my driveway. That’s about as southern as I get.
Actually - the guitar player in my country band owns and operates a micro distillery. His products will hang with anybody. Right now he’s aging a proofer Barrel (5 gallon) of bourbon that he had a local maple syrup maker rest a batch of maple syrup in. So, the sapper got a top flight batch of bourbon maple syrup ( seriously - if you get the chance, try that stuff!!!!) and in several months, I’ll be pulling the cork on the inaugural maple bourbon.

I prefer Kentucky bourbon, but I'm not afraid to venture out to other distillers such as Old Scout and Pinhook (although they are back in Kentucky 100% now).
When taste testing, or introducing someone to bourbon, I make sure they understand which in my collection is an actual Kentucky bourbon and which is not.
