There's not gonna be a definitive answer, but I'm leaning towards happy place. I bet Jesse was spending a lot of time there in his head after they shot Andrea.

It{s definately a flashback, because I remember Jesse going off about how he made a box and put a ton of effort into it...then sold it for drugs or something like that.

Another loose end my wandering mind wonders about: Who is Lydia and where did she come from?

When Mike goes to cap her (I think after Gus dies and an attempt is made on Mike's life?) in her swanky pad, one of her concerns is that her young daughter won't know where she went. Mike says something like "she won't find you" and Lydia replies "She can't just not know. I can't just disappear."

A lot of folks speculate that Gus' first partner was also his lover. Was Lydia his child and Gus raised her after his partner "disappeared"? At one point, Walt goes to Gus' house for dinner and there are kid's toys in a corner. Was Gus the father of the kid? Did he have a family we never saw?


I have no life. :bawl:

We first meet Lidia as a employee of the large corporation that owns Los Polos Hermanos. She's in Texas somewhere,I think.

The guy Gus was with was another of his project students. Similar to Gale.

Vince Gilligan has stated that he decided against officially confirming or denying whether or not Max and Gus were, in fact, lovers. However, he has said that if you were to imply this about their relationship, you "wouldn't be wrong." If this is true, it would add much more to the emotional attachment of Gus witnessing Max's death.

I knew that much. I think the first time we see her is when the DEA is questioning a handful of Madrigal execs. No lines, she's just at the table.

I was really wondering beyond what was given; the way she said she couldn't "just disappear". Was she a young child when Max (?) and he was her father? Did Gus' relationship with Lydia stem from him seeing to her upbringing? She speaks at least 3 languages fluently and has an executive position in a huge firm so she's obviously well educated.

Maybe she's none of the above and just somebody that Gus met through Madrigal connections, but I'd bet he paid for her education and placed her where he could use her. Like Max and later, Gale.

I still wonder about the toys at Gus' house. Never a mention of him having a family. Were they props to help with his "regular businessman" cover?

I really have no life.

But I'm crazier about this show now than I was last Sunday.

Just disappear meant protecting her daughter.From the unknown, mommy may have abandoned her. Mike was gonna send her to Belize and I think she was begging to have her body left there.

That's why Mike showed mercy because of the little girl around the same age his granddaughter ?? Niece? Tugged at his empathy strings.

But likely you know all this because none of it is speculation. Just what they fed us.
