So, you think Hank is a useless lump of dejected flesh, and it's just a coincidence that knowledge of crystals and their formation is paramount in the manufacturing of crystal meth.

Watch both Hank and Skyler take on some new and powerful proportions this season.

Definitely one of my favorite shows. I'm really on edge about what Walt is gonna do about their "next move". I think the whole Gale thing was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Gus is capable of. I mean, the guy has been in the business for years. He had control over Tuco's crazy cousins/assassins last season, he has the perfect operation running so what does Walt think he can do to get the upper hand? Gus has Walt by every angle and can easily use his family as leverage to keep him cooking; it's gonna be a spectacular season :hyper:

I think the crystals will be a new running reference like the eyeball - it means something but at the same time it means nothing.

Hank lost his edge.

Remember the bar fight right after El Paso? It was almost like he wanted to be fired. Panic attacks and who could forget the Schraderbrau exploding in the garage...

I'm not sticking a fork in Hank though.

If anything, this series is anything but predictable.

Did you see the change in Jesse after seeing what Gus did?

Indeed, which is why a bed-ridden federal agent becoming a major player is hardly out of the realm of possibilities.

Jesse is transformed. Jesse is born-again hard. He eats lightning and craps thunder. He can casually, matter-of-factly discuss cold-blooded murder over a tasty Denny's breakfast. He has accepted his fate. He is ready for anything now.

Yeah, that scene was a bit over the top, but as a plot device it goes to show just how serious Gus is about his "business". And as Jesse noted afterward over his delicious Dennys breakfast, "We're all on the same page". :hmm:

I dont think it was over the top at all. It was very intense, and threw us for a loop maybe. I kept waiting the whole time for some ill fate to befall Walt or Jesse. Rather, though, it was Victor, and rightfully so, as he could have been identified by anyone at the murder scene.

I mean OTT in terms of the level of, uh, detail depicted. Not the act itself. It goes the the heart of Gus Fring as a character. Or is it the jugular.
