Hey man, I feel for Mike. After all Perry left him holdin' the Terrible Towel and he's lost his fiercest Steeler compadre :(

Me, EVERYBODY hates Dallas so I'm used to rollin' solo most places.

I ain't lookin' to make anybody angry, but PIGS CAN'T SING! :spit: Shoot down here in Jawja they can't even squeal :ninja:

Memories are exactly what your Super Bowl trophy is now too. It's over, in the past, done, last season. Winning last year does not mean anything this year. You guys could go 9-7 and miss the playoffs just as easily as we did last year.

I realize it is great and all to win a Super Bowl, especially your first one. It probably explains why you're still giddy about it this season. For guys like Ray and I, it's common to win a Super Bowl or be a serious contender every year, so it really isn't a big deal anymore. Maybe you're right, and the Saints will grab a couple more before Brees walks away. If so, then you will know how we feel.

Irrelevant.

The NFL ain't that different from college when it comes to evaluating things like accuracy, arm strength, and throwing motion.

Given the mechanics, arm strength, and accuracy he displayed in college - he isn't an NFL QB.

Now, if he improves those things, he may be.

...but we have a lot more than zero data.

No, lots of really bad quarterbacks have won games in the NFl - some have even won Super Bowls.

Well, shux. Us Green Bay fans feel kinda left out, with all this here trophy-counting.

Of course, there were those 5 NFL championships in seven years during the 60's, three of them consecutive.....and their 12 TOTAL NFL championships (which is more than 11, last time I counted toes.) Thought I should mention those little details in passing.

The NFL didn't get real until 1960 :ninja:. As far as I'm concerned, stuff that happened before then may as well have happened in the Mesozoic Era.

MVP 3 times, 8 divisional championships, 5 NFC championships, and a Superbowl win. Not to mention owning single season, career, and playoff records or being the only player to beat every NFL team. That's right, all of them.

Even better than that, he had one turnover in both Super Bowl games, pretty good considering everyone wants to nit pick over playoff turnovers in must pass situations. He was even 5 TD's to 2 ints in last seasons playoffs, and the same with the Packers his last season in Green Bay.

Yeh, he really never did anything worth mentioning at all, including during playoff time.

Brett is/was a phenomenal QB, and despite the supposed personality problems, or the nitpicks about him not showing up to camp (surgery anyone?), he has done things as the QB of a football team that no one else can claim to come close to.

Farve haters can nit pick about all kinds of things, but you can't deny any of the above.

My point was Bart Starr played to another level in his playoff games, one of the reasons he is considered the greatest QB of all time, and has FIVE rings and TWO super bowl MVP's to show.

Coach Holmgren kept Farve in control when he was a younger player in the nineties, and has ONE ring and THREE league MVP's from that time period. Since then, Farve has turned the ball over to the other team way too many times in his playoff games, the primary reason he has but the ONE ring in nineteen years as a player.

The Viqueens are a choke team in the playoffs and Farve is a PERFECT fit for them in that sense, lol.

You mean 4 times in his last 5 playoff games, less than the ever praised Tom Brady who has 6 in his last 4 games, and the same as Peyton Manning in the same number of games? Or should we look at Rivers, with 4 picks in his last 3? Or Big Ben, who has 12 in the 4 times the Steelers have made the playoffs under him. 12.

Brees is the only "superstar" QB that hasn't been as bad or worse than Favre in the playoffs.

remember the playoff game 10 or so years ago when the Viqueens players started bitching and fighting each other on the field, and got beat by the Giants like 45-0. It was a very happy day for me.
