Brian Bromberg Carvin Model Part 2

Man, that is sweet. One of the nicest Carvins I've seen in a long time!!!

Can you specify to hide the neck through on the front as well? That would be my choice but apart from that perfect!!

There's no reason for it ! Just an idea I had ! You can hide the neck on front if you want ! Add U$ 70 !

Now in my hands...sorry for swiping the pic, Bob. I lucked out as this is probably how I would have ordered it in the first place. Really looks nice under the lights, too. I kinda wish it had humbuckers as opposed to single coils but that's a minor niggle. We played an electrically "hostile" venue last night which precluded me from rolling the blend off-center. Speaking of which....is the blend supposed to be wired backwards a la Sadowsky?

Or, er, any fretless version of it. Just curious about if there's enough adjustment of the action at the bridge without the frets. This is a very mild problem with my Bunnies, which have the Hipshot bridge with the roller style blocks that can't be filed down. Looks like the new bridge on the Bromberg allows that.

Anyone?

Gracias,
LS

You can see my fretless B25PF on post #264 of this thread, page 14 I think. I've had no trouble adjusting the action. It came set extremely low (and perfectly set up I may add) and I've only had to do slight adjustments because of the weather. I think there's plenty of adjustability.

Last night I busted out the B25P for a rehearsal for a project that I usually don't use it on. I was playing through a 1x15 Ampeg PF rig and my goodness it just sounded amazing. No effects, no nothing. I think I'll use it at this weekend's gig....

I ended up using it for most of the night at my Blues-Rock gig, tweaking the uber-versatile preamp as needed. It was awesome. Back in heavy rotation now.

Oki dokie, thanks, very nice bass! On my Bunnies, I have all the saddles completely bottomed out and it just _barely_ gets the action down where I want it. I usually fix that by filing the slots down a hair bit but it looks like it would ruin the Hipshot saddles to do that.

Will the single-coil electronics work without batteries? That is in full passive mode? It sounds like the humbuckers have passive mode, but can't tell about the single-coils?

Debating between a B25 and a SB5k....use to bolt on necks but loving the idea of a neck thru killer. Thing sounds like a killer JB if you ask me. Read all the goodies, anyone have some thoughts who can compare both?
