Thank you sir. It's all your fault, you know ;-)... But I'm pretty sure this last acquisition will finally cure my GAS. I'll just haul the 810 around till I'm no longer in shape to do so, and I can only hope this will coincide with a definitive incapacity to play.

Ive been looking into this for a while now, annoyed at spending so much on my gigging rig to have most sound engineers take a DI straig out of my pedal board. Ive basically decided I want to grab myself a Heil PR40 and audix cab grabber (any advice against this?)

But Id like to mix this with a decent DI. Im interested in the idea of putting the DI between the head and the cab. (Im running an SVT VR and 410HLF). Any recommendations DI-wise here?

I own a PR40 and it is awesome. I cant say enough good things about it. As far as speaker DIs go, I use the JDI. Sounds great, easy to use and indestructible.

I'm totally in love with my A-Designs REDDI. A little expensive, but it sounds pretty much identical to DI'ing a B-15 through the speaker out.

For the less wealthy but equally critical ear, consider the Palmer PDI-09... Perfectly happy with it using it with vintage Ampegs when the sound tech does not want to connect the mic...

Audix D6 for mic'ing the cab, Audix OM7 for vox.

+1 for the OM7 for vocal. Nix on the D6 for anything but kick or floor (and I'd rather have a D4 for floor) - it's too colored.

God exists. Yesterday night bridged my SVT for the first time AND studio recorded it with my brand new PR40... Awesome!!! Bridging gives you an incredible tone control on the already brilliant SVT, and the Heil reproduces every detail perfectly. Next week the first live gig in this configuration. Looking forward to it! Thanks for all good suggestions, guys.
