Rookie question - Can you use a pedal, like a cab sim, between the P15 Line Out and a Class D amp's Return port?
I don't have a P15, but I have the SSDI. Assuming they're the same, the line out of my SSDI is hotter than heckfire, but I wanted to run a pedal or two after it. To do so, at least in my case, I had to run the pedals after the SSDI at 18v or the pedals would overdrive and fart out from the hot output of the line out (don't try that unless you know the pedal can handle it, or you'll fry the pedal). And/or, you can also use an attenuator in-between the line out and the next pedal, which I also do. I use an EWS Subtle Volume Control, but there are other options. So I can crank the SSDI and then bring the level down a bit before it hits the next thing in line. So far it works fantastically. I haven't tried that setup into an amp yet, though. There is also the option of using the XLR output with an XLR > TS 1/4" cable and plugging that into the next pedal. The output of the XLR is way less than the line out. At least with the SSDI.
