Broughton Audio Super Thread

That is why I asked, I didn't know if it was a cutthroat process like I have seen with some of the tube preamps that he sells.

With the Broughton drops, it's best to assume it will sell out in between 30 seconds to 5 minutes, if it's not a regularly in stock item.

If it has a tube, or Studio in the name, its going to be a frenzy. The lunchbox preamp/DIs sometimes last a while with the higher price of admission, but only after they've been out for a while. When the SVT based Pre/DI hits that Josh has been hinting at, it's going to be a bloodbath and all you can eat crushed dreams buffet.

This is the way.

So I am relatively new to the broughton world, recently picked up the tube DI, and am hoping to pick up the latest messenger on the release date. Is this one of the scenarios in which I have to keep refreshing like trying to get a hot beer release or is it somewhat casual. I just sold my x ultra in anticipation of getting a messenger and I don't want to miss out
Although I've seen alot of promise it could be popular, now (that it has a output for cans..), you really might have a decent chance, just watch here as well, people are pretty quick to post when things are up

HAPPY FLIPTOP FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
(sounds so flippin' fantastic)

(The secret was to buy one yesterday. Then when I woke up this morning and they were 'in stock,' I already had one.)

This is funny you say this, at one point I had "checked" quantities when things were in stock, so per IP I had multiple P15s, SSDIs and JoshWahs in my cart. When I was actually running the F5 game and getting myself a Studio Boost, I about checked out with over a 4k tab with Josh... be careful with those carts lol. This honestly could be a pro gamer life hack tip&trick, if you catch a good a pedal, and for some brilliant reason they are still in stock after your purchase, throw another in your cart and leave it there, they stay even when out of stock so that portion of the purchase is already done, of course this is insanely hard and requires a team of specialized humans with a Google Fiber connection..

In the Ho-Hum section of Broughton news, the utility pedals seem to be consistently in stock. I’ve got a LPF inbound.

When checking for shipping updates today I saw it went to Usjfka, USA. At first I didn’t see the “USA” and thought my LPF had been diverted to Eastern Siberia.

Silly me.
You'll get it in 8-11 days from the purchase date, well I say that, a "normal" purchase may ship sooner. I've always gotten things on drop days, Friday, and they ship Mon, so it could be sooner, especially up north, I'm about the farthest away in conus it can get

They throw on the "USA" just to fool you. It is in fact on its way to Eastern Siberia. :D

It can be a really mad grab for sought-after items.

I am surprised to see the tube preamps consistently available lately. I was able to mull over my decision to buy the P15 for a couple days, and that's unusual.

Surprised me too. Never opened it.

Wow. Really nice and exactly what I expected. As the seller informed me of the voltage. 9 volts because of the transformer doubling internally to 18 adds the sweetest saturation to this MBD-1. I bet running this in conjunction with the super stack (once I find the right spot on my board) is really going to sound thunderous.
Cool circuit. Check the cute little Trans pictured.

Yeah it's a neat job, the Trans-boost circuit usually uses 2 boards. And you're right, Transboost and MBD-1/2 are best friends ! TB adds its transformer saturation furr to MBD's grit. Real nice match.

It took me longer than that to eat my pancakes, so I would have missed anyway. After my last mishap, I no longer use my computer while dispensing maple syrup.
I got one because I was up at 2:30 am practicing already. Refresh finally hit available at 6:26 am EST.
BUT... I didn't get any pancakes.
