Ok that someoneone must be me.

What is this? Private joke? Do you have a link for me?

Thx for the reactions.

Is there any particular Broughtons you’re looking for or were you after a FX loop filter this morning?

It helps to speak up. You never know. Your inbox might just light up or someone might be able to point you in the right direction.

Thx for the concern. Not interested in the FX loop but I stayed awake all night and still missed the Messenger DI some weeks ago.
Tough experience. The messenger DI is haunting my dreams now.:jawdrop:

At least you are in Amsterdam... my suggestion: compare your time zone to 6:00 AM CST (Central Standard Time). It's not a gaurantee, but this seems to be a pretty common time for batches to be released.

Please someone educates me. :help: I am fairly new here so this might be a noob question.:bag:

It looks like that this Broughton guy could put an used toothbrush with a HPF on it on his website and this would sell out in no time.

Question: if the demand for these Broughton products is so high, why producing so few? Is it a marketing strategy or simply lack of capacity?:wideyed:

Welcome... we were all noobs at one point, so ask away. Josh's operation is very small, and he actually has a regular day gig that takes up a lot of time. He releases what he can, when he can, and spends a good deal of time developing new stuff... which means some of the old stuff has to disappear to keep his production under control. So yes, lack of capacity, but equally focus on creativity is why things appear - and disappear - so quickly.

All I can say is that if you hang around the forum a bit, things become a lot more understandable and as @saltydude pointed out, you'll likely be able to find much of what you need from the guys in here... someone always has something available.

I wasnt too jazzed about the Filter Fx Loop. There I said it.

Just kidding. Me either. I still don't really understand what it is or why I would want it, really. Though folks much smarter than me will likely find fantastic uses for it. Also, my pedalboard is full. I can't even duct tape any (more) pedals together to make more room. I slept great last night.

It is essentially a blend with filters (if I'm not mistaken). If you are familiar with the HxStomp, it is essentially an analog version of running a path B with another pedal or pedals or as a clean blend.

Yes! I kind of hope I can run it like an HX Stomp path b crossover of some sort (I wish the clean channel LPF could go down to 150-200 Hz, but that still might work).

I, for one, am looking forward to the Filter FX Loop. I'm planning on using it to preserve clean low end when using drive pedals in the loop. Hoping it simplify my recording workflow a little bit.
Also wondering/hoping if I can use it kind of like a mixer with the dual outputs on my Attitude bass. Neck pickup to Input and P pickup to FX Return, filtered to taste and combined to a single output.

The Filter FX Loop works by splitting your signal into two parallel paths: Clean and Effect.

  • The Clean path has LPF and Level controls (white knobs).
  • The Effect path has HPF, LPF and Level controls (blue knobs) as well as a phase switch. The HPF is placed before the effect, while the LPF, Level, and Phase controls are post effect.
  • The two signals are summed together and sent to the output.

Too bad the HPF is before the loop. That kinda messes with my pickup mixer plan a little bit. For that purpose it'd be better to have both filters after the loop return, but I get why it's arranged the way that it is.

Yes, using it with drive pedals would be of obvious benefit. I can see that. But any drive pedals I use already have clean blends. (Though the ability to apply a clean blend and filters would yield additional benefits, no doubt). This is just one of those pedals that makes my head hurt. Too many possibilities.
