Broughton Audio Super Thread

That's been my experience as well, and I order lots of items in my work. The US Postmaster General has hobbled USPS horribly, evidenced by many lost and extremely late packages. It did start with Covid, but got much worse after DeJoy took over last June.
This is certainly how it looks from my outsiders' perspective. Getting dangerously close to political topics here tho. Tread lightly.

USPS within the US, has been better than normal, until it gets to a local level, for me at least, my own PO is terrible but I understand others are very good. Good luck getting a claim fulfilled though, insurance just attracts part timers sticky fingers imo.

UPS has seemed to be the most reliable in the southeast at least, although they also don't take any liability for packages left with no signature, I would say definitly ship basses with them, and see below -

FedEx is super fast for small things, if I get a box over 12" though most likely it will show up as a ball, not a box it's so damaged.

Honestly, bass wise find a buddy that can receive freight, you'd be amazed how much less it is for oversized on a skid, and I've had much better response having packages coming to a storefront rather than residential if that's an option.

And then there's the odd ball route, anything coming or going to California only takes 2 days USPS??! it takes more time to mail to neighboring towns..

My outsiders perspective is that usps took 3 weeks from Chicago (which is about a 7 hour drive from me) for a package and I’m going to receive a package from Australia (really looong and probably deadly drive) in less than 2 weeks from delivery early next week.

All I’ll say is, it used to be a whole lot more betterer.

I just want a HP/LP filter! I know they’re in stock, but where’s the fun in that?
Just throw a fit anyway and get it out of your system. Hissy fitting can be cathartic. It can even replace coffee to start your day. It’s also great for prepping for your first confrontation personal conversation of the day.

not that I’d know anything about that.

maybe not as fun but satisfying. A utility pedal you should get asap. It’s not like another different fuzz to heap on the pile.
Despite switching out my HLPF for an RFE I still use it. Loaned it to a few bassist friends that ended up getting one for themselves. It’s a nice, totally transparent unit unlike the S1 and RFE.

I’ve owned one before, which is why I want one so bad.
