Broughton Audio Super Thread

I’m glad that there was a backup of TB, and especially the collective experience in this thread.

Imagine if you couldn’t simply refer newcomers to the previous 2587 pages in the Broughton thread?

Probably would have resulted in a situation something like this....actually the parallels are quite spooky...and only 1 year and 1 month out....

I was going to sell my Studio One and Sunray but then the site went down and I changed my mind.

So what’s the latest on the new tube preamp? Will they become available to purchase soon? I’d like to see how it fares against all the others.
Late summer is what I've heard, but with component sourcing the way it is these days it's up in the air. I don't know what you'd even compare it too, it's reacted differently to every bass I've played through it, I have both SSDI and P15, they both haven't seen power since the day the new one arrived. Not saying it's replaced them, Josh has nicely made this one different enough it's good to have them all, but I can't put the new one down. It's everything I've ever wanted from a tube preamp, and best of all originally new. Maybe one day I'll have the courage to mail it off to you if more don't come around, but don't hold me to that

For what it’s worth, I can’t say enough about how much the Broughton Filter FX Loop, specifically, the Phase Switch remarkably changes (for the better) the open-ness of the tone on my passive bass using In Ear Monitors (IEM). The Broughton Filter FX Loop is absolutely brilliant, and a game changer for me when relegated to IEM world (rather than an on stage amp which I prefer). The Filter FX Loop makes my SSDI and P15 sound so very much better in IEM...mostly due to the phase switch...and the filters. Just a great piece of gear. Highly (and humbly) recommended for those relegated to IEM.

Interesting. So where are you using it in the chain, and with what other gear?

All I know is that @saltydude has had since Sunday to build and test ramp prototypes.

I expect excellence.

Well as a few of you know. Last Sunday didn’t go so well.
