Basically exactly how it happened but I didn’t take out my buddy. People won’t ride with me for obvious reasons.

Oh, and I pick the dog hair out of my Velcro with tweezers before sending them out.

Where do you send them? Are you selling them, or giving them away? If they're free, I'll take a few (and pay for the shipping, of course)... but, are you willing to ship the hair overseas?

OverachieverActually, it was a pretty good attempt... he managed to stop two bikes, right?
Some clips squished together of this ol thing if anyone wanted a little sample of its drive. Everything is EBMM stingray special > SB > Archetype > DAW (sorry for the gain being weird, its late.) 2nd to last run I added the sunray, and last is Sunder > Sunray (Hi EQ) > SB > Solarian > Archetype > DAW (after listening back I probably needed something on the back end pulling the lows back up, but in the cans it sounded fine.
Please use full range to really appreciate everything going on with this pre, it makes a difference
Studio Boost -> Fliptop Boost -> SSDI =
Thanks, I can't iterate how different it sounds with other make basses. I may make a simple run with 3 different setups sometime, the stingray just seems to fit the best for this EQ selection. This was also the "dirty" side of things, it does produce very clean scooped clean tonesNice. My favorite is around 1:57. That Sunray and Sunder also sound fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I snoozed and lost on a Sunder a couple of times. Next time I may pounce. I don't really have a need for fuzz at all, but every time I hear it I love it. I may need one just for my own personal gratification. Which, let's be honest, is why I have most of what I have. The only other person who really appreciates my pedalboard is my 8yr old. She likes to turn on different combinations of things to see what it sounds like. Her favorite combination is usually everything I own turned on, including all overdrives and distortions, and then rocking the wah. Go figure. Thanks, I can't iterate how different it sounds with other make basses. The gate? on the Sunder is crazy, these days I don't really go for full on crazy, but something about this one I really like, I can still hear the definition almost like there's a clean channel, maybe it's the octave thing
And that's why I ceased my hunt for one (Broughctave), I still need another SVD, but the MK2/3 3leaf really does do the job just fine, it's flexible enough, durable enough, and works well with others - (its also the only non broughton in my setup if that makes a statement..) I'd still take one to try out though, the square wave thing yada yadaSo, call me crazy, but I'm trading my Broughctave to @kranahan for his 3Leaf Octabvre. He was kind enough to lend me his 3Leaf to try out, and I play tested them extensively over the last week and settled on the Octabvre for my preference. I could get them to sound really close with a bit of fiddling, and tracking is pretty on par between the two of them, so it was a tough choice. But I found the Octabvre to be both a little more character and a little easier to dial in. I'm also in the mood to shake up the Broughton monoculture on my shelf a little bit.
So, If anybody out there is dying for a Broughctave, the 3Leaf is a good alternate choice. Still keeping my SVD though... that thing is entirely different and still untouchable for clean sub lows.
I honestly never really found the square wave that useful for the sounds I’m after. I also never played the dang thing through a real amp and cab due to COVID shutdowns and overall exhaustion with life. I’m sure the square wave effect would sound a lot better through a speaker cab vs DI.And that's why I ceased my hunt for one (Broughctave), I still need another SVD, but the MK2/3 3leaf really does do the job just fine, it's flexible enough, durable enough, and works well with others - (its also the only non broughton in my setup if that makes a statement..) Yeah at first I didn't understand how to use it, everyone was all about the sub line with the mk2 as well, but after some tinkering I get it, very synthy and almost fuzzy. Josh needs to combine the both octaves he has, THAT would be awesomeThe Sub mode on the Octabvre is cool and probably more useful for me, under my particular feet.
It may be a bit, but there was just a drop, I'm sure some will pop up in classified newI've been out of the bass world for a few years and so hadn't looked at Josh's wares in a bit. Damn, the Fliptop looks like it was made for me. I hope they become available again and I get the notice in time (just updated my email preferences on his site).
