Oh I don't know, when I traded my SB off I started to get desperate and saw this. Guy from Florida that sold his P15 and SSDI has one, said he liked it better than those two, but to each their own ya know, they make a rack and 500 series one as well. I just hear the JHS deal is noisy, but no personal experienceHow do these compare to the JHS Neve Console pedal?
Yeah I've never tried one, unless I just didn't know. Mostly all Brotones, Tech21 and COGI get it when people don't like a specific dirt circuit. I'm not a fan of OCD circuits. I know @NKBassman likes OCD circuits. You might like them too @labeledbass
No experience myself either, but I read that the v1 Color Box was noisy with bass, but that the noise was fixed with the v2.I just hear the JHS deal is noisy, but no personal experience

I like me a good tube circuitI just don’t even know what I want anymore. It changes day to day.
That’s all I’ve been going for lately. I don’t even much care if it has an eq/tone circuit in it. I even got one that has the eq circuit switched so you can leave it off. Pretty much anything that did dirt and didn’t have a tube in it is gone except for the FlipTop and the JoshWah.I like me a good tube circuit
I’ll be up to 5 Sushi Box pedals by the end of the month, with another one in the build queue. lolI like me a good tube circuit
I wish everything had a EQ defeat, especially the Monocomp, fun but in the way, can't find "noon". But yeah, tube can do a lot, you end up just hearing your bass and I love that. I was just saying that Archetype setup has my bass EQ flat across the board, nice and simpleThat’s all I’ve been going for lately. I don’t even much care if it has an eq/tone circuit in it. Anything in particular, or just in general?I don't understand tube based pedals
I've always felt like the tube sound comes more from power tubes, not preamp tubes. Also the thought of having a more fragile part like that in a stompbox puts me off a little.Anything in particular, or just in general?
I thought you were kidding, there's a certain swell, bloom, linear OD, whatever you want to call it from tubes, that I can't get from solid state, the response seems so much more natural and attached to the bass in my opinion. A lot of times, because of how the maker worked it up, they get a bad rap for being saggy, lazy and not responsive to the dynamics from the bass, but when it reacts correctly it can be amazing, and give that 3D warm feeling people refer to. Honestly the best circuits I've played incorporated both tubes and mosfet, I have a totally tube driven head and its nice and tubey, but that's when the lazy, squishy feeling comes into play, AshdownI've always felt like the tube sound comes more from power tubes, not preamp tubes. I own an Ibanez Tube King Overdrive, it's a bit of a hassle to swap tubes & I don't think it makes a solid state amp sound tubey. Also once had a Music Man HD150 amp that was solid state pre with tube power section, which sounded very tubey to me
