Broughton Audio Super Thread

So I’m doing photo/video for a friend’s band in the studio today and I brought my board with several Broughtons for them to mess around with. They have one song that ends in a breakdown and as soon as the bassist clicked on the Calamity the engineer’s eyes got huge and he immediately opened Google to see if he could buy one and I had to break the bad news that this was the only one he’d ever cross paths with haha.

Ah, yes. I remember losing my crushed dreams virginity like it was yesterday. There's nothing quite as soul-crushing as that first experience of unobtanium.

They say Broughtons are big in studios.

calamity is my next unobtainium quest! I believe (I really do, but for no good reason) that it will one day be brought back from the dead of the archives.

Whoa...nice little modular going on. I am doing my best to stay away from modular cause well I do a good enough job spending ally money on pedals.

For the shirts...how are they? Are the larges small, big, or just right if you typically wear a large? Looks like a quality shirt

Getting into modular is a little like getting a boat. I had a huge eurorack system, then sold nearly all of it when I learned about Ciat-Lonbarde and other oddball banana synths. I'm staying away from Buchla and Serge, I kinda want to stay financially solvent and married. I have a BugBrand Board Chirper coming, but that's pedal-sized money. I'm also setting aside for a better upright.

XL shirt fits me fine (5'11", 210 lbs).

Nice touch that one of the modular pieces has a Studio One colour scheme.

Did you tell him to submit “Calamity” into the archive page’s feedback/product suggestion box?

Have you ever seen a broughton product go directly from archived to available?
