Sounds like a move to Chicago is the solution to the group's shipping problems. I've had good luck getting things shipped here from Canada. Although, my last order from Montreal Assembly went to Jamaica before making it to Chicago.
I believe that might be the Jamaica sorting center in Queens!

Haha. This makes a lot of sense!!! It didn't list a state in the tracking, so I was scratching my head....
I just received a lawyer's bill today that was postmarked on April 13th. So just under 10 weeks to go 9.6 miles. According to the google machine a box turtle moves at 0.17 mph. So a box turtle with a sense of direction could have delivered the bill in less than 3 days with minimal rest, or 7 days if he stopped to visit his in-laws along the way.
Canada Post is awful right now too. I've had an incoming pedal stuck on "in transit, 1-12 business days" for like 5 weeks at this point.
Short answer is they are making the mail worse to make it better. Except no one thinks it will get better, just worse. I fear it will go into a feedback loop as more people will use other services/methods and the USPS will see unprofitable junk mail become a larger part of their business. That and delivering Amazon's packages the last mile.
I've been trying to use Canada Post's online tools to get some more information, or pay the duty in the hopes it'll spur things along, but their new website is absolute trash. You just get redirected around and around in circles without ever finding the information you want. I had to do a Google search to even find out how to pay duties online, and the form doesn't even look like what it describes in the FAQ.
