Broughton Audio Super Thread

Sat this one out too, and will likely sit out the rest of the year (no Archetype for me). Wife lost her job so the new budget eliminated any more music purchases for the time being. Putting her and the kiddo on my health insurance is nice addition to the monthly overhead.
That blows. Reality comes in for the blindside hit and lands one. I hope she’s not out of work for long. Good luck.

Sorry to hear that! That's tough. Family first, though!

After much reading and scouring many TB threads, this one included, my GAS for some Broughton gear started to get uncontrollable. Outcome: I had to get me an SVD. The many reports of hectic Broughton releases prepared me for a tense Friday morning (Amsterdam time, 6 hours ahead of Toronto) with a big chance of sheer disappointment. But hey, it's worth a try. And lo and behold, I got me an SVD! :woot:

Now the wait starts, no clue how long it takes a package to ship from Toronto to Amsterdam. Already excited to join the Broughton club!

This brings me to the next item on my wishlist: the Resonant Filter Equalizer. Patiently waiting for a release date to appear...

Pretty toight, but just might work...

So since I got an SVD…anyone want to trade my non-deluxe Synth Voice for an Azure Drive, Sunder Fuzz, Bug Caster/Drive, Broughtcave, or any other Broughtons I don’t have (I have a good amount so DM me if you have something else and we can talk).

I’d A/B them before throwing it out there Glad I did. Just some friendly advice.

Ok ok. I’ll go so far as to honestly say I got some more bloopy glug glug out of the Deluxe. However it took longer to get there and I didn’t enjoy the fine tuning/ fiddling with the filters as much.
To the point where you'd say the deluxe can cop what the SV does? I understand the ease of using it, but the range on the sub channel is massively fun

I get it. Perhaps it was the sensitivity factor of it I felt as if I was always taming. IDK. I engage the OG SV and it just does what I want it too with a simple adjustment and marginal or little to no sonic surprises.

It would be cool if there was a switch deluxe on/off, along with a master/level control - either way I can't wait for my kermit pedal!
