Broughton Audio Super Thread

Azure Drive and Calamity? Wait….. is somebody listening to what we’re saying?
I mean, last time I mentioned wanting a Para EQ, it popped up (I missed it of course) so I’m sure I’ll miss out on the AD too….. but Fanny Packs??? Maybe, just maybe…… (Broughton shot glasses…. ahem/cough would be killer too).

Wait, what? Broughton giveth?

Yeah, I hope there's at least a little bit of a head up regarding the Calamity. Anyone know how similar it is to the Dunder Mufflin? That was a little too unruly for my taste, it verged on PLL territory.
It does say release dates will be provided... So hopefully that means there will be heads-up. I'm really hype for the Calamity. I've looked at the Azure, but I'm not really a huge fan of the Blueberry (I had to look up the Blueberry based on reading about it in the Azure's description) so I'm not sure I'd go for it.

I had to look up the Dunder Mufflin... I can tell it's a muff, but I can't find anything about it. What exactly is it? What is this ancient magic?

Has anybody tried using the Messenger pre as a personal IEM mixer? I'm thinking sending the monitor mix to the auxiliary in and the headphones out to (wireless) IEMs. Would be great to have it all on a pedalboard, plug 'n play heaven.

I'm playing with the Messenger and wired IEMs in an ampless situation, however the Messenger is also the DI to the board. In this case, the volume level needed to drive the board is also sends too much volume to the headphone out (for me—I have a quiet mix), so I'm switching between a passive volume unit and a headphone amp to decide what works best, setting a a bass volume that works and mixing in the aux/monitor mix sans bass (there's also a limiter in this chain). If the monitor mix includes bass, the mixing constraint of the Messenger is not an issue, but the ability to adjust the bass level as needed is lost.
