Broughton Audio Super Thread

I have a Fender P Lyte Deluxe, which is active P + dual-J humbucker. I plugged it in to my Archetype at lunch and I could probably get myself 90% of the way there with that. I've always been curious about EMGs and Spectors though. I'm sure I'd dig it.

I also just looked up the prices on USA NS-2s and... yeah, the old Fender will do just fine. lol

First bass I ever played was a Czech made Spector from early 2000's. Not exactly sure what model it is. I borrowed it from a friend to try to learn to play bass when Covid started. Two years (and several thousand dollars in equipment) later, I'm still trying to learn how to play bass. :) (i'm never going to be a great player, but I'm functional)

It was a nice bass, but due to some physical limitations I need to play short scale. My friend no longer plays bass, so it is the backup in case something happens to my one and only bass.

New guts for the Baby Sumo have arrived

I still couldn't tell the difference between Spector and Warwick, but whatever Stuart Zender plays is good with me. Although they both have the Gumby thing happening.

I saw Ryan Martinie play the latter, he tore it up. Scary good player.

Not my type aesthetically buy they seem like they would be easy and comfortable to play.

Warwick. And there are tons of threads on this....

I was playing some music and felt it in my bones that something big was gonna happen Broughton and then realized it was FRIDAY. Ran to the site...had totally forgotten, Silver Deluxe day! I got mine (and LOVE it - I think that was my first Brougton pre?) so not trying but good luck to all who try. This one really sings at higher voltages. It's like if the SSDI is the chief of the tribe and the Superstack is the hunter, then the Silver Deluxe is the gatherer. Such a beefy awesome sounding fender stack.

Also, thanks for all the book recommendations. I am not a wild sci fi fan though I dabble. I do love great fiction where you really connect with the characters.

Ugh I haven't actually read a book in so long. I bought a handfull of books last summer when we had a vacation planned, and then the vacation kinda fell through and I never touched them.

I've spent hundreds of dollars on books the past decade...some are reference books so get read..the others? sitting in a pile somewhere.. Used to be a voracious read but than just lost interest. I think its the internet
