I checked inventory again and there was one in stock. I went to check shipping costs and opened up PayPal. Before I know it I have an order confirmation on my screen, 
I didn’t even press confirm or whatever but PayPal wanted me to have one so that’s that. No complaining here.

Even if they were all equal, the Omnicomp has a great finish on it. You’d probably want it on your board anyways.

I’m of a very much wait and see attitude about the Monocomp. I might end up keeping it regardless because of the simplified controls.
Anyone looking to let go of thier monocomp, I am still interested in trying one out. Congrats to the new Omnicomp owners...it's a killer little box.
Definitely keeping mine. Its now at a point that I have more compressors than other pedals varieties (aaaand loving it).

They are two very different boxes... the Monocomp is an "instant phat" machine. Its tone and the simple control set make it a very different animal from the Omnicomp. The Ominicomp is a tweakers delight, and capable of a really unique blend of phat and clean (even a compressor goobus like me can hear that). The Apex on the other hand is is purely transparent. Three different voices. Its likely worth it to have all three if one is "compressor mad".
Actually, I guess I've gone "compressor mad" because I'm still looking to pick up a Monocle for my proposed mini board. Anyone? Bueller?

Hey so yesterday I signed up for the Omnicomp release mailing list. I wasn't really looking to buy one, but I knew that there was going to be a drop today and I was hoping to see an email just to see how it works. Nothing showed up though (I checked spam and everything).
In general, is there an email announcement when the releases begin? Or should I just wait till the announced date and mash refresh until I strike gold?

This is likely the most productive method.
Make sure it's the "Notify When Available" list you added yourself to (and do it again now that the release happened), and not the "Subscribe to our mailing list" section at the bottom. The most effective way I found to get my Omnicomp was setting up the Auto Refresh Plus Chrome Extension from Auto Refresh Plus | Page Monitor and have it notify me when "Out of Stock" no longer appears on the Omnicomp page.

I checked my auto mailing list and only had one person added yesterday to the Omni release (not you). If you want, try adding yourself again and I can confirm if it worked. The email gets sent the moment the stock is updated.
