Maestro is my favorite fuzz, if you want a clean, even synth fuzz without a bunch of artifacts flying around, that blooms perfectly at the right gain setting (10 oclock), its for you. It mixes out clean direct line pretty well by itself but becomes a monster in a ffxloop.
The only thing I would note is make sure your signal is strong before the pedal, I use a solarian, quicksilver, and au driver (not at once) to push it and manipulate its character, from crunch to tooob warmth. Its the perfect base for any synth setup.

I really love Josh’s finishes. Everything from bright and bold to dark or subtle. Simple cost effective designs that has its own identity and niche. I don’t need or want to pay for wooden boxes, felt bags, crazy artwork. Nope. The Broughtons work for me.

Exact, the pedal themselves have enough character - from the subtle theme, knob, color, font, it all works - and good tonz are enough swag for me, all that other is just clutter
My only complaint is that the Calamity is really hard to read. I know what the controls are now, but my first gig with it on the board was "fun".
Fine be that way. You guys got be back on the wagon anyway.
A maestro is pretty high up on my want list. Love the brassmaster fuzzes I await drop disappointment
