Broughton Audio Super Thread

There once was a moose, that seemingly took a trip around the moon. Finally, after a 3+ month wait, my xmas drop S1 has arrived.

Oh wauw, that was certainly worth the wait. LA-1A -> S1 -> SSDI.... So many lovely, phat tonez to discover and so addictive. I'm done, this is tone heaven. Where is the mic drop emoji when you need it?

Awesome congratulations. It’s probably my favorite and most important Broughton of all time.

Is it me or is it weird seeing an Omnicomp on Reverb?

You.

Congrats. Those three units are an absolutely fantastic combination for fatt and clean.

I recently bought a bigger board basically so I could start using my S1 (and a few other things) in a live environment again.
SVPre-Monocomp-S1-P15 is thick, chewy and delicious.

I missed it. How much was it?
Just checking Broughtons on reverb it looks like the ones listed are mostly from one dude in Colorado, who apparently doesn’t know the going rate for the Josh Wah….or that it’s in stock and can be purchased for much cheaper new.

it’s listed at $375 CAD plus $20 shipping. That’s not far from cost. Actually, considering that we in Canada have to pay PayPal’s exchange rate to USD to purchase and it’s probably exactly cost. Including taxes.

It's actually bit of a financial disadvantage to buy a new Broughton pedal in Canada... we have to pay the PayPal exchange rate, AND 13% sales tax... and I'm guessing we don't pay a whole lot less for shipping. Ahhhh... the vicissitudes of life...

That's not gonna stop me from buying them, though.

Shipping is the same $20 USD pretty much anywhere in NA afaik. Yep. We pay more due to having to pay the exchange rate.
Does it bother me? Yes.
Will it stop me? Nope.
