Browne basses..I pulled the trigger! (pics inside!)

Here's the first of many pics to come!
Stage 1!

The cocobolo should be nice and orangey after it's cut up and sanded! :hyper:

(Oh, and I changed on of the specs...it's going to be all passive now!! Stacked vol/vol, and a tone knob. One knob for each brain cell!!

Man, this thread is quiet! Anyone out there? Just to let you know the coloration of the bass when it's done...it should look very similar to this bass color-wise:

Y'all dig the cocobolo? Do you think I should have gone with a different top? I personally LOVE the cocobolo!

Hey Will,
It's actually going to have 2 pickups. If you look closely at the frontal pic, you'll see a little bit of wood seperating the two in the cavity. It'll be custom spaced and wound Nordstrands...either SEs or Singles, Mike's choice. They'll be housed under two single coil covers, just put side to side, kind of like a ramp, but with the functionality of 2 pickups in the J-ish position.
By the way, working with Mike has been fantastic at every point. Very patient, listens carefully to what you want, is VERY flexible, and is a great guy, to boot. He's much like dealing with Carey or Cliff Bordwell...also great guys with a heart for their basses and customers. My one regret is selling my CB 4 string with the Amboyna top. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Hoping that the sting will go away once this arrives by Christmas.

By the way, I ordered it in late September....! And it'll be ready in 4 weeks!
