I'd drop cash for the singlecut once they come out. I'd go for a white one or a brown with no burst. Satin finish would definitely raise the classiness of it as well....mmmm

Being realistic and realizing that options will be limited, I'd LOVE a satin white one! Not my color of choice, but definitely better than black or red.

Satin white.
Single MM humbucker in the sweet spot.
Black hardware.
No pickguard.

That saves money on a pickup, and saves on the pickguard. I guess it would knock Kevin out of selling custom guards though.

Fingers still crossed for a 6 string Brute :D. I want a 6, but it's damn near impossible to find a Jazz style 6er at an affordable price point. The only other option I see is KSD. Those basses are badass (seriously) but I'd really like 22 frets and they're only 21 :(.

Everyone I've seen has been a boat anchor.

But they sound awesome...

What do these look like under the pickguard? Any photos? Is it the same sized cavity regardless of if it has a J or MM pickup at the bridge?

Also anyone in Portland Maine got one? I'd love to play one. I am gonna try real hard to visit their facility when I go to Jersey for the holidays though.

These pics were taken when I did the mods on my JJX-5. Lots of room to work with. Also, yes, they are the same for the JJX and MJX. Unless there are changes on the new ones coming out sometime soon. That I don't know.

Got mine a little while ago on trade!

Sounds pretty nice, the action seems to be a bit high and the saddle on the E is all the way down... kind of disappointing. Looks like the nut is too tall. Oh well, as it is it's still very playable. I love how it sounds with a little dirt on it. Will have pics soon.

Thanks for letting me in the club. I was hitting the brute last night and I swear it seems like she sounds better the more I play her. probably just me but I felt like something happend last night like I popped her cherry.
