Burger King is better for everything except the fish sandwich which is way too salty and mcdonalds fish sandwich is awesome

Id be very careful ordering fish from either establishment.

Gun to the head? BK. But Whataburger or Jack In The Box are vastly superior. .

I wouldnt consider JITB superior, theyre pretty on par with BK and McDs. They have the worst tasting mayo Ive ever had. Ive been to a Whataburger once, but I was a vegetarian at the time. They did replace my burger patty with hashbrowns which was cool, but they didnt appear to be of any better quality than the two being discussed. Id still consider those franchises as bottom tier.

Matt what's the deal with the fish?

Well, I can only speak of my experience at a single BK franchise...

At BK, all your food comes from warming units. The meat can sit in this unit for about 45 minutes before its supposed to be thrown out. Its rarely thrown out at 45 minutes.
The fish sandwich patty is deep friend for 3 minutes and some odd seconds and is then set into a pan in the warming unit, where it should stay for 30 minutes. Its rarely thrown out at 30 minutes. It might sit in there for a few hours. Of course, it gets soggy. So, when one is ordered it'll get thrown back in the fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness. When I went to fry up a new fish sandwich, I was told by my manager to use the one that had been sitting in the warming unit for probably 2 hours.

Ew.

The reason I ask is because I was watching one of those fishing shows on basic cable, and they were following a crew who happened to have a contract with McDonald's. The said McDonald's had by far the strictest quality requirements, and even gave the crew a chart as to how large the fish could be, how much bruising and discoloration was allowed and so forth.

I dont doubt that either franchise uses quality fish. Though, I wouldnt take that on word from a cable fishing show.
Its not so much the quality of the food, but more the way its handled by the employees.
Did you know that wearing gloves is only a requirement if you happen to cut yourself? BK is where I came to develop an obsessive compulsion for washing ym hands.

who has the better milk shake? I'm going to have to go with Burger King. The chocolate and vanilla milk shakes were quite tasty.

Milk shakes come from a plastic bag. Just pour it in the machine and :whirrrrrrrrrrrr:
Chocolate and strawberry shakes come about by adding flavored syrup to the vanilla shake.
Adding a bit of vanilla shake to some black coffee was pretty good.

I don't care if food workers wear gloves or not. If they have a cut then yeah, probably a good idea. Otherwise as long as they wash their hands everytime after using the restroom I don't care. I don't see how a rubber coated hand is any cleaner than one that isn't.
