Bus driver jailed for attack on cyclist

There is none, of course. Jauqo is obviously posting nonsense just to provoke a reaction from people. It is only a matter of time before he starts complaining about how people are misinterpreting his posts, being rude to him and so forth. This, of course, will be followed by another post where he once again tries to provoke a reaction by posting the same nonsense, probably while simultaneously denying that he ever posted that same thing in the first place.

No I am not posting nonsense to provoke a reaction out of any one. I was not there where the incident between the bus driver and the bicyclist took place.

Were you?

And you did misinterpret my post and it seems like you always misinterpret my posts.

Common sense would tell any one exactly what I was saying.

If you feel that all you can do is attempt to insult me or you don't understand what I so clearly wrote, just don't respond to my posts. Just that simple.

Even though Munji doesn't get his new Fodera(at lest not from me) he did respond in a respectful manner.

And below is what I had to say about the incident.

Maybe the bicyclist made a threatening gesture towards the bus driver and he reacted only to protect himself.

Like I said the bicyclist could have made a threatening gesture towards the bus player.

One gesturing as if they have a gun during a possible argument can be perceived as threatening to most humans. And add some verbal threats in there who knows.

This guy was way out of line going into attack mode with a 15 ton vehicle, However as a card carrying bus driver myself, I have had these cyclists be very brazen and get right up next to me, I mean literally inches away. I have also seen them ride right down the middle of the road at peak traffic times thinking they can maintain the posted speed limit (they cant) and hold everyone up while there is a designated bike lane right there on the shoulder, to me this is just plain arrogance and kind of stupid. I dont drive in your bike lane so stay the hell out of my driving lane. I am a bike riding person in my spare time but have great respect for cars and stay away from them, you tangle with a 15 ton bus and its not going to end well for mr. bicycle pants.

Unfortunately, bike lanes are frequently the most dangerous place for a cyclist to ride. Also, it's not a "driving lane," it is a traffic lane for vehicles, which includes bikes.

I have looked in my right side convex mirror to see a lazy bicyclist holding onto my rear wheel well to catch a free ride! I am going 30 mph and if I hit a bump or make any sudden move (say a cabbie cuts me off) he can get sucked right under my wheels.

This has happened before. But in today's nyc a bike rider has more rights than a pedestrian. What really sucks is if that very scenario happens and even if the driver is found to have no fault in the accident he is still taken of the road and the mta will never let him drive again. If he is lucky he might ne kept on as a bus cleaner or fueler.. :atoz:

Munji I would give you that new Fodera but I never said that the bus driver was defending himself, now did I?

That's the root of the question. You said he was protecting himself. I don't see any difference. Another Emperor Deluxe, mahogany body, koa top, ebony board, Duncan dual coils, please.

I don't think that the Uk recognizes "attempted manslaughter" as a crime. They would have had to charge him with attempted murder.

Didn't think you could get attempted manslaughter? As manslaughter isn't deliberate?

Dare say the comparable charge could be GBH (grievous bodily harm)?

If the cyclist was killed, it would have been vehicular manslaughter, seriously injured would have been GBH?
