It's easy but wrong to dismiss "audio science" as theoretical. It's an accumulated body of knowledge based on measurement and experience. If you want to know more about how sound waves and speakers behave, all you have to do is study.
That doesn't mean you don't also listen, it just means that you can explain what you hear in technical terms. And if you study and listen enough, you can predict many aspects of performance from specs alone. That's what engineers do; it saves a lot of time and money. And of course, listening is always the final verdict.
Sorry about that chip on your shoulder. Exageration, misrepresentation, and derogatory labels don't help your arguments. No one here is trying to diss your rig. They're just responding to the OP's questions.
There are no perfect speakers. All speaker designs are a compromise. We all pick our compromises; some knowingly, some not.
I don't know of any published plans that use a C2515 with a cone midrange. One exception (if it's an approved driver) might be the BFM Omni 15, but it's not compact. The fEARfuls are lighter & smaller, but none of them use the C2515.
+1. I would add Greenboy, Duke LeJeune, Alex Claber, and others to that list. It's quite an opportunity... I'm constantly learning new things.
