The goods aint an issue
I had a customer who wanted to order two Dually's (215's) and I talked him into a Dually and a Bassic15. He uses the Bassic on 90% of his gigs now, for what that's worth

Yeah, I keep a couple super small cabs around, a medium size cab and my big boy cab...I prefer one cab load ins
On tour I take my biggest cab (FEARLESS215) because the gigs are so varied. Might be a medium sized club, or an outdoor festival.

I would look at a pair of 2x12s, 1x15s ....or a pair of fEARful 1x12s.
I have a GK 212 and I love it. My back also has problems. Undiagnosed, but I'm certain I have a herniated or ruptured or otherwise F@&(# disk somewhere because of repeated injury over the last decade. The 212 is like nothing with help. And I can carry it myself in many situations. I think 15s would have been a better choice. They can still get as loud as I probably need, but I can still carry them by myself. 12s... I wouldn't bother unless they were super high quality--like fF quality.

Not sure which models you're referring to, but for Slade, going from his Ernie Ball HD-410 the Bag Ends will sound very dark & lifeless. I still have a stack of Ernie Ball HD-212s I used for rack rig, so I've a good idea what he must be used to.
FWIW - my 51 lbs. Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout is now #1 in my arsenal. IMHO - get the 8 ohm model & a 2nd 8 ohm cabinet to use for bigger venues. I preferred the 12" over the 15" because it just seemed a little faster, perhaps tighter for my style.
Every Mesa cab I have lifted has been insanely heavy. If you like the sound of what you are using, add wheels, ramps and helpers.

biggest pain is in and out of my truck- 90 lb dead lift blows. My 8-10 is actually easier to move than the 4-10, but showing up to 90% of my gigs with it is just plain silly...
I'm all screwy now- looking into FF again. Lord help me
For the record my cab is a Bergantino HD410. If I can find a setup that's modular and easier to move and sounds as good, can go as low and as loud I've got the cash right now to make it happen- because I currently have three cabs though I want to be positive before I need to move the wifes car out to make more room
what style and gigs do you primarily play with the scout?? What amp do you power it with?
My Mesa scout extesnsion cab felt so lightweight that I actually had a smile on my face when I brought it out of the car and into my last gig. I will agree that most other Mesa gear that I've used has been on the heavy side.
