Cali76 vs Seymour

As a few others have said, you really can't know til you try (and being a gear forum, we are here to enable that kind of behavior). Certainly the Cali76 isn't objectively better than the Duncan, these are all a matter of taste and those two compressors are very different from each-other in tone and function. Personally I liked the punch of the original Cali76-CB when I had one several years ago but it had low headroom for even my passive basses (audible distortion when fed with 9V power) and I preferred the tone and specific eccentricities of the Smoothie and Fairfield Accountant I had at the time (and still have!). I would love to try one of the never Cali76 Bass comps at some point, but that's just because I love to try everything if possible!

Has anyone else used both of these pedals that can offer a comparison? I currently have TWO Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressors, a J Rockett Airchild compressor, and the little yellow mini pedal Aguilar compressor… but I’m jonesing to try the Cali76 Compact Bass.
