Can a brothah get a MM Stingray 6 string?

I remember that whole fiasco but I don't ever remember Sterling being that way to the fans that asked. The only ones he spoke out harshly against were those who attacked his Dad's memory and name.

I was very much a part of that ugly thread, and your post is total BS. No one attacked Ernie Ball (Sterling's dad), and it certainly was not the theme of that thread.

The bass was offered with a limited ordering window, in one color/fretboard option, at full MSRP, which was over 2k as I recall, and a buyer had to come up with half the money up front only to wait half a year or so for it to be built. No way this was ever going to work, and it was certainly not a fair gauge of the market.

KIng Biscuit - this sounds exactly like the restrictions I would have if buying one of the Premier Dealer Network limited instrument runs EBMM do - I would dearly loved to have ordered a mahogany bodied Bongo or Ray in the recent run - just couldn't afford it.......................... but a load of people have - I think someone's even ordered a Bongo 6?

I'm surprised the 19 mm spacing 5 string players haven't gone to their local friendly luthier and have them make a new neck with the required spacing and fit it to their EBMM 5 er. Has anyone done this? I've never seen anyone post pics on a forum of such a beastie.....................

On the John Myung 6 string - I read a recent interview with him and he said the BODY was as per a 5 string - the string spacing is a special to suit his requirements - and the controls are different.

Time for more pics of EBMM basses??...................and has anyone done a photoshop of a Stingray 6??????

That wouldn't change the spacing at the bridge, and it would be terrible invasive -- i.e., major surgery for the wider neck pocket.

Are you sure............you weren't reading the same thread as I was then - I seem to remember it was populated with a bunch of reasoned posts, but part full of puerile vitriol and attacks - I was surprised it didn't spontaneously combust.

That's fine - I just got the flavour that some people on here think it's fair game to bully Sterling Ball......

Hope the vintage pastry is going well :)

I have no idea what went on in the 5-string order thread. I don't really care much. The flavor that I got from my personal searching on the EBMM forum is that It's fair game for Ball to insult others.

...and I think my JPXII BFR 7 string guitar is the finest guitar I have ever owned.
