Can anyone identify this Bass?

Please define "import bass that looks like mine". Quilted maple, gold hardware, active PUs, luthier made, hand-made... Which attributes do you seek to duplicate?
An honest request, I am already googling...

Me either. This Bass is incredible.

The best advice at this point is to take it to my Fender certified Guitar tech, Jim Harryman, Fender tech # NSS5121, and have him remove the pickups, and see if anything is written under there...if not, under the pre-amp. The Bridge maybe a Gotoh, I'm still trying to find that out. I'll get back to you all when I have those questions answered. Blessings to you all. Thanks.

I did, well I didn't include a pic but you knew what I was talking about and accepted the association with your unknown bass. But here's the pic now. This is a Japanese made 1990's bass.

So far in this thread one person clearly recognizes the logo. Look at the construction of the Tobias neck. It is very similar to your bass.

The guy I bought this Bass from, said the original owner said it was made in the USA and cost $2700 when new. (In the nineties.)

There was a Luthier/Builder out of Quebec about 20 years ago that built basses that looked like this...they had 18v active electronics....now if I could just remember his name...

The guy I bought this Bass from, said the original owner said it was made in the USA and cost $2700 when new. (In the nineties.)

I paid $550 for my 1974 Fender Jazz Bass in 1994. They go for around $2700 these days.

You know what? That central screw thing in the Pre-amp...The screw is in the middle of a square....on that square, it was Made in Canada...let me check that to make sure, but I think you may be on to something. I hope you'll remember, so we can look. Thanks!
